About Me

“Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.”

— Jonathan Swift

Bi0

Now retired, I attended Medway College of Design in the early 70's, worked in advertising for a short while. Then years and years in  IT, operations, analysis and programming, wasn't really called coding then.

I take photos just because I can, and get a great deal of benefit from doing so, mentally and physically, a way of life. Its one of the few things that has stayed with me all my life from about 10'ish when I bought my first Zorki 4 camera through to digital.

Expertise

I'm a generalist, meandering, purposeless, snap anything that catches the eye, intrigues or amuses, anywhere, anytime. I've always believed photographers need guidelines not rules, and if you're prepared to make the effort you get results. Landscapes, any 'scapes really, minimalist, people, urban, whatever, see it, snap it.

From 5x4 film, and the associated processing, colour and black and white, medium and 35mm format through to digital cameras and Adobe software, it's all just photography.
